What is going on with your baby during week 15?

Your baby is about 4½ inches long and weighs just under 2 oz. Baby's skin is translucent and covered with downy hair called lanugo. While your baby is moving quite a bit you are not able to tell yet until a couple of weeks later. By this time your baby may be sucking its thumb. Eyes continue to move to the front of the face but are still widely spaced. Ears continue to develop externally. Bones that have already formed are hardening and ossifying (retaining calcium) rapidly. If an X-ray were done at this time, your baby's skeleton would be visible. Your baby looks more human with each passing day.

What is going on with you during week 15?

You are likely to be rid of the morning sickness and fatigue that plagued you earlier and yet you are not feeling any fetal movements yet. If you are the worrying kind, this lack of pregnancy symptoms may set your mind on an overdrive. Relax and enjoy now! This phase won't last too long before the aches and pains of the third trimester kicks in. It won't be long before your baby starts kicking you in the ribs on a regular basis. To others your pregnancy may not be that obvious yet unless you wear maternity clothes or put on a swimwear.

What is going on with your head during week 15?

Some women worry about looking fat rather than looking pregnant. Its only natural because at this stage, you are likely too be big for regular clothes and too small for the tent style maternity clothes. However if this isn't your first pregnancy, you may wearing your maternity clothes already since you would be showing earlier this time round. For first time mums, take heart; by the end of this trimester you will look pregnant enough. During weeks 12 to 27, your uterus will quadruple in height and rise out of your pelvis, causing to take the classic shape of a pregnant lady.
